You MUST also read the UK Border Tier 4 Policy guidance before you submit your application to the UK Border Agency.
If you want to download a copy of the check-list then click on the link below.

Note for students of 'low-risk nationalities'
If you are a student of a 'low-risk nationality' and you are applying for your Tier 4 visa in your country of nationality then you do not need to include any educational or financial documents with your application. You will only need to submit the documents listed in the 'Essential documents'  table.
The list of low-risk nationalities is subject to change but as of April 2012 the list is: Argentina; Australia; British National Overseas; Botswana; Brunei; Canada; Chile; Croatia; Hong Kong; Japan; Malaysia; New Zealand; Singapore; South Korea; Taiwan; Trinidad and Tobago; and the USA. (see paragraph 11 of the Tier 4 Policy Guidance(version 03/13)
However, as part of your Tier 4 application you will need to sign a declaration confirming that you have the required documents. It is possible that the UK Border Agency will still ask you to provide your original educational and financial documents. If you cannot provide them by the deadline that you are given then your Tier 4 visa will be refused. You are therefore strongly advised to prepare the following documents anyway so that you will have them ready in the event that the UK Border Agency request to see them.

Educational documents
The following documents will not need to be submitted by all students. Confirmation of the educational documents that need to be included with your Tier 4 application will be stated on your CAS.
If you are not sure which of the following documents apply to you, or if you have any questions about the documents then you should refer to the following ISIS webpage:
1.
Original academic certificate(s) or transcript(s) for each qualification listed on your CAS under 'Evidence Reviewed'

2.
Original evidence of your English Language qualification

3.
ATAS Certificate

4.
Official translation(s) of any educational document that is not written in English.

Financial documents
Submitting incorrect financial documents is one of the main reasons for visa refusals. It is very important that any financial documentation submitted with your Tier 4 application meets ALL of the requirements of the UK Border Agency.
If you are not sure which of the following documents apply to you, or if you have any questions about the documents then you should refer to the following ISIS webpage:
1.
Original financial documentation showing that you have the required amount of money in your own name
2.
Original financial documentation showing that the required amount of money is in your parents bank account and
a) Original birth certificate, and
b) Letter of consent from your parent(s) confirming your relationship and consenting to you using their money.
3.
Evidence of any scholarships (LSE scholarships are listed on your CAS)
4.
Loan letter
5.
Evidence of official financial sponsorship and written consent to completing your studies if applicable
6.
Written consent from your financial sponsor if you have been fully sponsored within the past 12 months
7.
Receipt from LSE showing accommodation payment (max £1000) if you are living in LSE managed accommodation (excluding Lilian Knowles) and this payment is not included in your CAS statement.
